Member of the Knesset Tzipi Hotovely was born on Kislev 2, 5739 (2.12.1978), grew up in Rechovot, and studied at the Bnei Akiva Ulpana High School in Tel Aviv. Hotovely completed her LLB and LLM degrees in Law with Distinction at Bar Ilan University.
From 2003-2005 she was the editor of the law journal of Bar Ilan University, after which she decided to continue her academic career and wrote a doctoral thesis at Tel Aviv University.
In 2006, she joined the panel on the Channel 10 political discussion program, “Council of the Wise”, presented by Dan Margalit, together with journalists Amnon Dankner, the late Tommy Lapid, Ari Shavit and Gideon Levy. Hotovely represented the views of the right wing on the panel.
In all the political and social discussions that she took part in she presented a combative and consistent view regarding the importance of preserving all parts of the country, and the importance of renewing the Zionist dream, with the emphasis on the identity of the State of Israel as a Jewish state.
Hotovely took part in other television programs on Channel 2: “Making Order” with Ben Caspit, “Speaking of Ecology” with Dalia Neuman, and “Country of Jewish Law” with Uri Orbach and Sahara Blau. She was also a guest host on the program, “The Jewish Home” on Channel 1.
